Catie Joy is a Philadelphian living in Brooklyn. She is a senior studying writing, literature, and gender at Eugene Lang College The New School for Liberal Arts. Catie's interests include eavesdropping, the internet, boat shoes, and feminism. She does not enjoy American conservatism, explaining that Joy really is her last name, garlic, or being called "Catty." Her research interests include gender in contemporary literature, reproductive rights and sex education (and the TV show The Secret Life of the American Teenager as it relates to these issues), and adoption stories.
